In your role as Analyst - Closing & Reporting

Process Ownership

  • You will work in a team of domain authorities, in which your tasks include clarification of accounting issues, analysis of errors, initiation of any vital corrections and involvement in process improvement activities or initiatives, if needed with support from the “Closing & Reporting” Senior Analyst.
  • You will take ownership of daily “Closing & Reporting” transactions and month-end-closing activities and ensure they are recorded in a timely and accurate manner, in accordance with IFRS and local GAAP quality standards or any other relevant regulations and guidelines.

Collaboration & Teamwork

  • You will be encouraged to collaborate and build positive relationships with internal and external collaborators such as regional accounting hubs, local business teams, and other partners within Siemens Energy’s global communities.
  • Listen actively and continuously passionate about collaborator requests, handling sophisticated and uncertain operational issues, while significantly moving forward in taking ownership of decisions, together with the “Closing & Reporting” Senior Analyst.
  • Share standard processes with all relevant collaborators.
  • How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with IFRS and internal guidelines, ensuring accuracy and timeliness through structured month-end closing, reconciliations, and GL postings.
  • Maintain internal controls and support both internal and external audits by providing accurate, timely data and resolving audit queries for assigned entities.
  • Implement and regularly update Desktop Procedure (DTP) documentation for existing processes and contribute to the creation of DTPs for new workflows and process variations.
  • Drive standardization and automation of Closing & Reporting and cross-functional processes to improve operational efficiency across the organization.
  • Support ad-hoc requests and collaborate with management and teams globally, building strong relationships and contributing to ongoing process improvements.
  • Invest in your professional development through continuous learning, feedback, and involvement in innovation and process ownership initiatives within a diverse and collaborative environment.
  • What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field, or relevant experience in Closing & Reporting within Accounting & Finance Operations.
  • Foundational knowledge of accounting principles; basic understanding of IFRS is preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel; basic familiarity with SAP business processes is an advantage.
  • Initial experience in transitions, transformation projects, or process improvement initiatives is beneficial.
  • Willingness to travel for knowledge transfer, training, or workshops as required.
  • Strong communication skills, open and collaborative mentality, with fluency in English.
