System Test Automation Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled System Test Automation Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you'll develop and maintain automated testing solutions for compute trays and rack systems, with a focus on firmware, BIOS, and overall system‑level validation. You’ll work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure test coverage, system reliability, and long‑term product performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated test scripts, tools, and frameworks for validating firmware, BIOS, and system functionality of compute hardware.
• Maintain and improve burn‑in testing environments, integrating monitoring and reporting features to enhance test stability and reliability.
• Partner with System Engineers and NPI teams to ensure test coverage aligns with product requirements and build validation plans.
• Conduct root cause analysis of test failures, working collaboratively with Quality and Operations teams to diagnose and resolve hardware / firmware issues.
• Develop tools for test data logging, analysis, and dashboard visualization to support performance tracking and long‑term reliability metrics.
• Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test procedures, test plans, and version‑controlled automation scripts.
• Identify gaps in test coverage and recommend process or tooling improvements to drive continuous enhancement of validation efforts.
• Contribute to the future development of scalable, automated test strategies with a focus on design‑for‑test principles for in‑house rack products.
• Provide remote support to Data Center Service Support Engineers for issue resolution and test deployment.
