Job Description
- Manage financial and accounting related matters to ensure sufficient financial resources for business operations, including :
 
Maintenance of the accounting records for all financial transactions; and
Ensure accurate and timely completion of the monthly and annual management accounts i.e. statement of profit and loss and other comprehensive income and statement of financial positionManage the monthly and annual budgetary process for business activities and programmes, including :Plan and prepare budget proposal for review by the Head of Operations (HOO) and finalisation by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and present to the relevant stakeholders;
Continuous monitoring of the approved budget and actual expenditure for the year; andPrepare and present mid-year and Q3 analysis to the CEO and relevant stakeholdersContinuously perform due assessment for liquidity and working capital requirements to ensure any funds in excess of current requirements will be invested in low risk or conservative investments with optimum returnsEnsure robust and timely payment, billing and receipting process, and maintenance of adequate accounting register / recordsMaintain and update policies and procedures relating to finance and procurement, including, providing support and guidance to other team members to ensure full compliance of the policies and proceduresPrepare Board papers for any areas relating to finance and accountsLiaise and coordinate with external auditors for the smooth completion of annual auditCoordinate with tax agent for timely preparation and submission of tax returnsLiaise with company secretary to obtain necessary advice and documents in support of the accounting and financial functionsUndertake operational work from time-to-time as may be instructed by the HOO or CEOUndertake research and other assignments / projects as may be instructed by the HOO or CEO from time-to-time, including contributing to any special projects that are being periodically managed by the companyH3>
Job Requirement : Qualification and Experience
Must be a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA)At least a Bachelor’s Degree / Professional Degree in Finance / Accountancy / Banking or equivalentProfessional qualification holders, i.e. ACCA / CIMA / CPA would be an advantageAt least eight (8) years working experience in full set of accounts, audit and taxationExperience or exposure to capital market would be an advantagePreferably Managers specialising in Finance – General / Cost Accounting or equivalentOther General Requirement
Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and Bahasa MalaysiaAnalytical skills, critical thinking and an affinity for numbers and details are essentialComputer literate with SQL Accounting Software and proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including but not limited to Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and WordMeticulous, committed and able to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlinesGood interpersonal skills and ability to work in a diverse teamAble to work independently and as part of a team, proactive and results orientedStrong knowledge and / or interest of IT matters would be an advantageQualified candidates are invited to submit their cover letter, resume with current and expected salary together with a recent passport-size photograph (non-returnable) by post to or apply online.
