British American Tobacco has an exciting opportunity for a Team Lead – Corporate Finance in Selangor.

An exciting opportunity is available working in the Corporate Finance team as part of the APMEA finance team. This role sits within APMEA CFOM, the extended end market team in the GBS Centre in Malaysia.

The Team Lead assists the delivery of P&L planning, cash planning, treasury & controllership activities (delivery of P&L, cash flow, accounting, SOx compliance, and delivery of statutory financials) as well as handling risks and controls to meet key End Market priorities. The role interacts with the Corporate Finance Controller to ensure DBS strategic objectives of standardization, scalability and consolidation are met. You will also be required to ensure all monthly business as usual (BAU) tasks relating to planning & reporting are completed on time and to a high quality.

Your key responsibilities will include :

PROFIT & LOSS

• Planning & Forecasting : Assist monthly forecasting and planning processes, support Corporate Finance Manager for financial analysis.
• Process Improvement : Assist in streamline and automate financial processes, ensure SOPs are up-to-date, and support control documentation requirements.
• Collaboration & Business Partnering : Work closely with commercial and corporate finance teams, and engage with cross-functional GBS teams for operational improvement.
• Reporting & Analysis : Assist in deliver timely and accurate financials (P&L, cash flow, QPR), support ad hoc analysis, and leverage systems like SAP and BI.
• Audit & Compliance : Support internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting and documentation.
