Tooling Technician (Contract 6 Months)

Overview

This is a fixed-term contract employment for 6 months. If the contract is successfully completed and both sides are satisfied, there are high chances to be converted as permanent employees.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, set up, and issue tooling required for ceramic machining operations (CNC, grinding, drilling, lapping, etc.).
• Maintain and monitor tooling inventory, ensuring availability and proper storage.
• Inspect, sharpen, repair, and replace worn or damaged tooling to sustain machining accuracy.
• Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and supervisors to determine tooling requirements for new jobs.
• Assist in the design and modification of jigs, fixtures, and special tooling for ceramic parts.
• Perform preventive maintenance and calibration on tooling and fixtures.
• Support process improvement initiatives by evaluating tooling performance and recommending enhancements.
• Maintain documentation of tooling usage, history, and maintenance records.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and proper handling of ceramic machining tools.
• Troubleshoot tooling issues that may affect machining quality or efficiency.
