Job description

As a Staff Nurse / Nurse Aid / Medical Assistance in a Postnatal Care Centre, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive care to new mothers and their babies during the postpartum period. You will be responsible for monitoring the health and well‑being of both the mother and the newborn, assisting with breastfeeding and newborn care, providing education and support to the new parents, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.

Job Description

Assess and monitor nursing needs for mothers and babies.
Advise on breastfeeding, managing newborn and other health promotion to mothers.
Monitor & track baby reports for their milk consumption.
On‑time feeding and taking care of newborn infants.
Ensure the cleanliness of the baby room and proper hygiene.
Administration duties as advised by superior.
Monitor the general well‑being of mother and child.
Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records for mothers and babies. Ensure that all necessary paperwork, including consent forms and discharge instructions, are completed properly.

Requirements

Certified and registered nurse / nurse aid by LJM or medical assistance.

Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in nursing, NICU, postnatal care or related field.

Possess a passionate disposition to care for mother & baby.

Preferably able to communicate in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Must be willing to work in shift, weekend, public holiday and night shift.

Follow roster duty (MUST BE WILLING TO WORK NIGHT SHIFT).

Experience in a confinement centre or paediatric ward preferred (higher salary package).

LJM pass, diploma in nursing, post‑basic midwifery preferred (higher salary package).

Fresh graduates welcome to apply.

Full time with overtime, EPF, SOCSO, EIS, annual leave.
