The Junior Executive, Hydrocarbon AP / AR is accountable for ensuring the timely and accurate payment of Hydrocarbon Management's payables and the recovery of its receivables. This role supports and performs daily operations and provides data inputs to the Hydrocarbon teams to facilitate stock valuations, mass balance analysis, contract creation, and customs declarations. Additionally, the role supports other functions in their day-to-day data recording and analysis. It also involves communication with counterparties to ensure that all recorded transactions are complete and free of disputes.
Business Partnering
- Work closely with the Commercial and Scheduling team ("E&S team") to understand the commercial arrangements for each trade deal executed.
- Monitor and provide input to the E&S team on any potential accounting implications arising from such commercial arrangements.
- Engage with, update, and seek advice from superiors as required.
Financial Services Delivery
Ensure accurate and timely processing and payment of HM purchase invoices.Ensure accurate and timely billing of HM sales invoices and recording of customer receipts.Complete monthly sales and purchase listings and perform reconciliations with financial statements.Perform monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts for both AP and AR customers against their respective statements of accounts.Ensure compliance with all internal standards and customs policies.Provide information to direct stakeholders in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.Identify and develop solutions for structural issues affecting operating units within the scope of the role.Apply the ESSA (Eliminate, Simplify, Standardize, Automate) mindset to drive process simplification and improvement.Propose remediation actions to resolve issues or troubleshoot errors escalated by team members.Be hands-on in resolving issues related to HM payables and receivables by working closely with relevant parties.Additional Responsibilities

Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounting-related field.Strong knowledge of accounting processes, policies, SST, and e-Invoicing.Proficient problem-solving and analytical skills with an inquisitive mindset.Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Basic knowledge of Hydrocarbon Accounting is an advantage.Familiarity with SAP is a plus.Experience in the oil & gas industry is preferred.High drive to meet deadlines and deliver results.Demonstrated knowledge in the following areas :
