Job description

Production Planner

  • On-site work-in-process inventory control
  • Responsible for compiling statistics on the production department's production plan completion status, compiling and reporting any anomalies during the production process.
  • Participate in MRB meetings during production and assist with the resolution of these meetings.
  • Material shortage feedback. When raw material shortages occur during production, promptly notify the production manager, confirm the subsequent material arrival status, and promptly notify the supervisor to modify the work-in-process schedule.
  • Responsible for assigning routine production tasks based on orders received from the production manager or within forecasts; responsible for assigning non-routine production tasks such as rush orders, rework, and repairs.
  • Production progress tracking. Responsible for tracking daily production progress against planned progress, reporting any issues that may arise during plan implementation and assisting in resolving them, ensuring the coordinated implementation of the production plan until qualified materials are received into the warehouse.
  • Responsible for analyzing the timely completion rate of production orders within the production department.

Project Planner

  • Prepare PR. Analyze and calculate material requirements based on MRP calculation results, material inventory status, and ECN, formulate a rational material requirements plan, and request purchases in a timely manner.
  • Material progress control and follow-up. Based on customer order deadlines and production cycles, urge procurement personnel to ensure on-time delivery and smooth production.
  • Material available commitment. Based on material arrival status, provide a material available commitment report to the production management department (PC) to facilitate subsequent production planning.
  • OPO action. When customer demand changes (increase, decrease, or cancellation), provide a list of OPO pull-in, push-out, and cancellations to the relevant purchasing department and track execution results.
  • AR request. Based on delivery status, submit AR requests to the planning clerk and verify the accuracy of the maintained information.
  • Material control. Handle obsolete materials.
  • Customer order management. Includes order acceptance, delivery confirmation, and delivery scheduling.
  • Developing project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure the successful delivery of engineering projects.
  • Coordinating with cross-functional teams, including designers, procurement, and construction personnel, to ensure the seamless integration of project activities
  • Preparing and presenting project status reports to management.

  • Material Planner

  • Material Planning & Scheduling. Plan, schedule, and monitor the supply of materials to meet production requirements. Prepare material requirement forecasts based on production schedules and customer orders. Coordinate with the production and warehouse teams to avoid material shortages or excess stock.
  • Procurement Coordination. Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials. Monitor supplier performance and resolve any supply issues. Negotiate lead times and delivery schedules to support production needs.
  • Inventory Management. Maintain optimal inventory levels to balance cost and availability. Conduct regular stock checks and reconcile variances. Implement inventory control measures to reduce wastage and obsolescence.
  • Data & Reporting. Maintain accurate records of material transactions in the ERP / Inventory system. Prepare material planning reports for management review. Analyze usage trends to improve forecasting accuracy.
  • Qualifications & Experience

  • Requirements : Diploma and above
  • Preferably 3-5 year(s) of working experience in related field (Sheet Metal Field will be advantageous).
  • Required Language(s) : Bahasa Malaysia, English, Mandarin (To communicate with Chinese customers)
  • The ability to follow up issues independently with good communication skill
