Job Summary :

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Manager – Accounts to support our finance operations within the dynamic Food & Beverage (F&B) environment. The role involves overseeing day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting strategic financial decisions. The ideal candidate should have solid F&B industry knowledge, strong technical accounting skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Oversee daily accounting operations including revenue recognition, supplier invoices, petty cash, inventory accounting, and bank reconciliations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of sales and expenses across multiple outlets / locations.
  • Monitor cost of goods sold (COGS), food wastage, inventory movement, and gross profit margins.
  • Review outlet-level P&L reports and assist in variance analysis.
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely settlements and reconciliation.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with local financial regulations, SST / GST / VAT (as applicable), and internal control policies.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and other external parties for audit and tax submissions.
  • Assist in cash flow forecasting and working capital management.
  • Supervise junior accountants and provide guidance as needed.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA) is an added advantage.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the F&B, hospitality, or retail industry.
  • Strong understanding of POS systems, inventory systems, and their integration with accounting software.
  • Proficient in accounting software (SQL, Xero, MYOB, SAP, or any relevant ERP).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bonus Skills :

  • Familiarity with outlet operations and F&B business processes.
  • Experience handling multi-location or franchise accounting.
  • Knowledge of menu costing, stock variance, and wastage control.
