Job description

The Position

Join our team as the Business Segment Head for Livestock in MSI where you will lead the Livestock business within the Operation Unit (OPU) in alignment with Global and Regional OPU strategies.

This role is responsible for driving Sales and Marketing excellence, managing distributor performance, and embedding customer engagement programs, while ensuring compliance and operational integrity.

Focus areas include targeting high-value customers, evaluating new opportunities, establishing strategic plans, implementing best-in-class selling, coaching and training practices, optimizing Field Force structure and sizing, and developing inspiring incentive plans.

Responsibilities

Leadership

Define and clarify roles, goals and expectations in the team.

Responsible for leading the team to ensure short & long term objectives for the organization are achieved with the collaboration from other functions.

Ensure ambitious and achievable business goals are set and owned by individuals

Deal with non-performance with courage and speed

Demonstrate and support BI Leadership behaviors

Practice and support BI values

Marketing & Sales Management

Responsible to set goals, objectives & targets for short & long term.

Achieve primary and secondary sales targets and growth objectives

Lead the implementation and monitoring of marketing plans to meet the species sales budget and profitability

Review opportunities for new products to be introduced into the market and extensions to claims for existing products

Convert and communicate Global / ROPU brand strategies for local implementation

Drive Sales and Marketing Excellence initiatives

Responsible for the Management of the Distributor

Development and implementation of key account management plan including short term, mid term and long term action plans

Strategy Management

Implement ROPU SEASK species strategy in close collaboration with the ROPU BuSe Head

Implement the ROPU SEASK Brand Plan

  • Ensure implementation of BI's corporate policies and respect BI's and local compliance standards

Strategy

Talent Management

  • Lead, coach and develop team members to ensure optimal individual / team performance.
  • Communication & Network :

  • Establish and manage key customer, business and political relationships within the OPU to the mutual benefit of the business and local community.
  • Responsible for an efficient information transfer and communication with relevant internal stakeholders of the corporation.
  • Responsible for maximizing impact of technical resources in line with sales and marketing strategies
  • Maintain close collaboration with ROPU BuSe Head
  • Compliance & Policies

  • Comply with local regulations, industry and company Code of Conduct
  • Comply with all regulations regarding interactions with healthcare professionals and follow company Code of Conduct
  • Take necessary action on issues of compliance
  • Be a role model in compliance with local regulations, industry and company code of conduct and maintain integrity

  • Qualifications

    Degree in Veterinary Medicine, Life Sciences, or Marketing; MBA preferred

    At least 4 years of leadership experience in sales and marketing

    Strategic planning and financial forecasting expertise

    Strong entrepreneurial, analytical, and commercial mindset

    Effective communicator with cross-functional collaboration skills

    Knowledge of legal frameworks, pharmacovigilance, and HR processes

    Demonstrated agility, accountability, and intrapreneurship

    Proven leadership in matrix environments with decision-making and negotiation skills

    Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities

    Creative, systematic, accurate, and resilient under pressure
