Job Summary

To direct the Trade Marketing function in ensuring company and category objectives are achieved by translating overall brand strategies into actions that build sales volume, create brand relevance, and drive category growth, specifically in General Trade and East Malaysia (a mixture of GT and MT). The role will also be responsible for all elements of shopper activation programs for Beverage and Health Enrichment, aimed at delivering desired changes in shopper and retailer attitudes and behaviors, both in-store and on online platforms.

Job Responsibilities

Trade Marketing Planning

Develop and implement shopper programs to boost sales and brand value. Create trade channel strategies focusing on distribution, visibility, product assortment, promotions, and pricing. Identify new channel and category opportunities. Analyze promotions and competitor activities to support category strategy development. Drive sales volume through targeted programs and initiatives.

Channel Sales Services – GT & EM Channel

Lead the Sales and Marketing Activity Calendar for GT & EM channels. Track and compile sales execution programs according to KPIs. Manage Trade Marketing budgets and ensure efficient use of funds. Communicate sales activities and promotional plans via a Sales Bulletin. Develop promo grids for GT & EM channels and drive online traffic. Handle promotion logistics and provide sales support materials. Lead projects like NPD launches and manage restructuring as needed.

In-Store Activation

Activate POSM and develop shopper-centric plans. Manage chiller plans to achieve On-The-Go consumption targets. Build execution standards through Picture of Success. Develop customized activation programs for selected accounts.

Category Management

Use category management tools to optimize range and space. Lead NPD initiatives and assist in customer business reviews. Provide category insights and maintain competitor pricing information. Utilize shopper behavior research to drive purchase plans.

Merchandising

Develop merchandising tools and training programs. Conduct ranging analysis and optimize space recommendations. Maximize SUNTORY brands' presence in stores.

Project Management / People Development

Train, motivate, and support the sales team to achieve objectives. Provide specialist support with monthly reviews and business development.
