Job description

Causeway is looking for a Full Stack Developer with strong expertise in  who can build high-performance, scalable web applications and optimise our website for speed, SEO, and user experience. You will play a key role in shaping our digital booking platform, ensuring that it delivers lightning-fast load times, seamless customer journeys, and is ready to scale for regional expansion.

Key Responsibility

Website Performance Optimisation

  • Improve Lighthouse scores (LCP, FCP, CLS, TTI) to industry benchmarks.
  • Optimise caching strategies (CDN, edge functions, serverless).
  • Monitor and debug performance bottlenecks in real time.

DevOps & Deployment

  • Manage CI / CD pipelines (Vercel, AWS, or custom cloud hosting).
  • Implement monitoring tools (Sentry, LogRocket, Web Vitals tracking).
  • Collaborate with QA for performance regression testing.

    • Frontend )

  • Implement advanced code-splitting, lazy loading, and bundle optimisation.
  • Optimise images, fonts, and scripts for faster Core Web Vitals performance.
  • Maintain responsive, SEO-friendly pages using (SSR, SSG, ISR).

    • Backend (API Development)

  • Build and manage API routes for booking, payments, and user accounts.
  • Integrate external APIs (payment gateways, WhatsApp automation, analytics).
  • Ensure secure, scalable server-side operations.

    • Business Alignment

  • Ensure website optimisations improve SEO rankings, Google Ads Quality Score, and customer conversion rates.
  • Work closely with UI / UX designers to deliver user-centric experiences.
  • Support growth initiatives (multi-branch booking, Singapore–Malaysia market)

    • Requirements

  • Bachelor / Master Degree in Software Engineering
  • Strong proficiency in , React,
  • Proven track record in website performance optimisation (Core Web Vitals, Lighthouse).
  • Solid experience with RESTful APIs, databases (MySQL / Postgres / MongoDB), and authentication flows.
  • Familiarity with CI / CD, version control (Git / GitHub), and cloud hosting.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices, accessibility, and analytics (GA4 / GTM).
  • Experience with Tailwind CSS / Material UI for fast, clean UI implementation.
  • Exposure to DevOps (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Vercel).
  • Understanding of digital marketing tech stack (ads tracking, SEO tools).
