Job description

Appvalley Technology is hiring a Java Software Engineer to design, develop and support custom banking solutions using a microservices architecture.

Responsibilities

Participate in requirement, design, implementation, testing and support of custom banking solutions, including features enhancements, new functionalities and back‑end systems integration.
Assist in infrastructure & system software setup for development and testing environments.
Ensure timely completion of delegated tasks.
Develop back‑end services with a Microservices architecture.
Implement message broker Kafka for inter‑service communication.
Build Restful APIs using Spring Boot framework.
Support QA during the testing process.

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Sciences / Software Engineering / Information Technology.

3+ years of Java development experience.

Optimistic, proactive, and able to motivate a team.

Understand design documentation standards such as UML.

Experience with various Java frameworks and design patterns.

Self‑learner who can apply new knowledge to tasks.

Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Spring Boot, open‑source RDBMS, NoSQL, and event‑oriented systems is a plus.

Knowledge of Angular is an added advantage.

Good verbal and written communication in English; technical, analytical, troubleshooting and consultative skills. Proficiency in the national language is an added advantage.

Ability to cope with tight deadlines and adhere to the delivery plan.
