Job descriptionRead and interpret geometrical drawings and dimension tolerances.Knowledge of programs, macros, CAM software and GD&T.Ability to read the blueprint designs of the product to be manufactured and then set their machines to produce the components. This requires familiarity with computer-aided design (CAM) software.Ability to write the formulas necessary to program mills and lathes using computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software. It involves entering tool registries, start and end points, offsets, and conditional switches. It requires knowledge of geometry and trigonometry.Coordinate with the purchasing manager to make sure their facility stays stocked with the right amount of raw materials to stay at maximum production.Ensure the machines stay in top operating shape. Create and implement routine maintenance checklists, also performing basic troubleshooting when a machine malfunctions.Completing quality control tests during the manufacturing stage and on the final product.Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following safety protocols.Work collaboratively with engineers and production teams to improve processes.Train new employees on how to properly operate CNC machines and programs.To conduct any ad-hoc tasks request from the Top Management at any time.
