Mandatory –

7+ years of experience in data analysis, with at least 3 years in health insurance or healthcare.

  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, Java / Javascript.
  • Deep understanding of health insurance processes (claims, underwriting, policy management).
  • Strong understanding of ICD coding standards and their impact on claims, billing, and reporting is a plus.

Description : Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst with a strong background in the health insurance domain. The ideal candidate will leverage advanced analytics to provide actionable insights, optimize processes, and support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Analyze large, complex datasets from claims, policy, and member data to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Design and implement advanced statistical models and predictive analytics for risk assessment and cost optimization.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, ICD codes etc.).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including actuarial, underwriting, and IT to deliver data-driven solutions.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership in a clear, actionable manner.
  • Ensure accurate mapping and transformation of diagnosis and procedure codes in claims and policy data.

    • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in data analysis, with at least 3 years in health insurance or healthcare.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, Java / Javascript.
  • Deep understanding of health insurance processes (claims, underwriting, policy management).
  • Strong understanding of ICD coding standards and their impact on claims, billing, and reporting is a plus.
  • Experience with data migration and validation during ICD upgrades is a plus
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

    • Job Type : Contract

    Contract length : 12 months

    Pay : Up to RM12,000.00 per month
