Certifying Technician 1 (CAL Express)

The Certifying Technician 1 will report to the Production Manager and Production Supervisors and be responsible for ensuring that required standards of quality are achieved for all work carried out within the area.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that all maintenance is conducted in accordance with approved company procedures and requirements such that a Certificate of Release to Service can be issued
• Assist in and accomplish repairs, replacements, modifications, overhaul and inspections on aircraft and associated flight or support equipment in keeping with the Air Navigation Order (Overseas Territories) and Civil Airworthiness requirements
• Keep informed of relevant airworthiness / company publications and procedures e.g. O.T.A.Rs., Company Maintenance and Airworthiness Management Exposition Manual, Engineering and Safety Bulletins
• Ensure required quality standards are achieved for all work being completed
• Ensure airworthiness of company aircraft through adherence to industry standards and approved program compliance
• Supervise unlicensed mechanics to ensure their work meets required standards
• Conduct delegated department functions
• Ensure the availability of the required technical data for the completion of work in a safe and efficient manner
• Ensure facilities and environment are appropriate for planned maintenance
• Continuously seek to develop and improve skill in accomplishing aircraft maintenance tasks
• Other duties as may be required
