Responsibilities :
1. Strategic Sales Leadership (primary responsibility) :
- Define and execute the transaction banking sales strategy aligned with overall business goals both from pillar management and Branch perspective including locally driven initiative.
- Identify, optimize, and capitalize on growth opportunities across markets and segments for both Japanese Corporate (“JC”) and Global Corporate (“GC”) business.
- To meet revenue driven KPIs from Transaction Banking (“TB”) products (e.g. cash, trade, FX, escrow, liquidity etc.), deliver YoY revenue growth, increase fee income vs income ratio.
- Drive sales and deal performance from TB (e.g. no. of new mandates, conversion rate of leads, new-to-bank client names acquisition, increase wallet share (cross sell), client retention etc.).
- Drive strategic and operation KPI (e.g. achievement ratio of Account Plan, market penetration for target segments etc.).
2. Product Management & Innovation (secondary responsibility) :
To support oversee development and enhancement of transaction banking products including cash management, trade finance, and liquidity solutions as back-up to Co-Head, Transaction Banking Department (Client Implementation).To ensure sales feedback loops into product roadmaps for relevance and competitiveness.3. Client Management (secondary responsibility) :
Build and maintain relationships with key corporate and institutional clients as back-up to Co-Head (Client Implementation).Ensure delivery of best-in-class solutions that meet client needs as back-up to Co-Head, Transaction Banking Department (Client Implementation).4. Financial Management :
Co-own the Profit & Loss (“P&L”) for the entire transaction banking unit including monitor performance metrics and manage cost efficiency as back-up to Co-Head (Client Implementation).5. Risk & Compliance :
Co-own and ensure all products and services adhere to regulatory, compliance, and risk standards as back-up to Co-Head (Client Implementation).Co-work with to Co-Head (Client Implementation) to proactively manage operational risks and implement control frameworks.Requirements :
Preferably with minimum of 10 years of extensive working experience in transaction banking, with a proven track record of leadership success. Deep understanding of industry trends, products, relevant laws and regulations.Applicant must have a recognized Degree or its equivalent from a recognized university / higher learning institution.Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence others.Ability to lead and inspire teams.Strong stakeholder management skills to collaborate with other departments.Strong commitment to risk management and compliance.Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is an equal opportunity employer.
