Credit Manager, Financial Institutions Credit Risk, Group Corporate Credit, Group Risk
Location : Kuala Lumpur, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Responsibilities
- Monitor portfolio performance and identify early risk indicators such as rising defaults.
- Work with the risk team to manage and reduce potential credit risks.
- Ensure full compliance with all regulatory requirements, including KYC and income verification.
- Lead and guide the credit team, including analysts and underwriters.
- Organize training sessions on credit assessment, fraud prevention, and compliance updates.
- Promote accountability and high performance within the team.
- Develop and maintain credit policies for retail auto loans, including new, used, and refinancing cases.
- Ensure policies match the company’s risk appetite, regulations, and business objectives.
- Review and update credit frameworks regularly based on market changes.
Qualifications
Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s Degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, FRM, ICAEW) is an advantage.Experience : Minimum 7–10 years of experience in credit evaluation, underwriting, or credit risk management, preferably in the automotive financing or consumer lending sector.Strong understanding of credit assessment, financial statement analysis, and loan structuring.Familiar with regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g., KYC, AML, credit exposure norms).Sound knowledge of credit scoring systems and risk management frameworks.Seniority level : Mid-Senior level
