Senior Signalling Engineer

Context

Our Asia System Engineering Centre is a hub of railway systems expertise, dedicated to delivering exceptional projects both within Asia and on an international scale. As a key Centre of Competency for the SYSTRA Group, we manage and support diverse projects across the globe. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Signalling Engineer to join our team, contributing to growth and enhancing our technical capabilities.

Missions / Main Duties

Within Asia’s Railway System Engineering Center, the Senior Signalling Engineer acts as a signalling expert and work-package manager in design, tendering or execution phases for SYSTRA’s domestic and international projects. This role may involve remote back-office work and on-site activities in South-East Asia for short-term front-office assignments (fly-in / fly-out). It may also include project management or technical lead responsibilities on rolling stock projects, with the objective of meeting or exceeding client expectations, delivering on schedule, and achieving project profitability targets.

Project Delivery

• Studies : Conduct studies to define client needs and to elaborate solutions meeting their requirements (feasibility studies, concept design and tender design). Lead or participate in the design of solutions submitted to the client, including reports creation and design validation.
• Tendering : Lead or participate in preparing technical specifications and tender documents for signalling & automation systems. Lead or participate in the procurement preparation process by assisting the Client during the tender, performing bid analysis and providing technical assistance to contracting.
• Supervision : Provide assistance during procurement execution by performing design reviews, interface management, inspections during fabrication (QA / QC), testing & commissioning (factory and on-site).
• Safety : Monitor safety aspects and alert on any subject related to technical or personal safety.

Profile / Skills

Education : A bachelor’s degree, preferably in electrical or IT engineering, is the minimum requirement.

Years of experience : Minimum of 15 years total experience in signalling & automation projects.
