Job Responsibilities :
As a Senior Project Specialist, you will act as the central hub for managing internal project requests and ad-hoc tasks from regional teams to HQ. You will coordinate with cross-functional departments to ensure seamless execution and timely delivery of initiatives. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, financial industry knowledge, exceptional organizational skills, stakeholder management, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced fintech environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Project Management & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Participate in regional business team discussions to capture, analyze, and translate key requirements or issues into actionable functional tasks or projects.
- Communicate and collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deeply understand the specific request’s needs, objectives, and issues, ensuring alignment with deliverables.
- Serve as a communication bridge between regional teams and HQ departments (Technical, Operations, Finance / Tax, Legal, Risk / Compliance), ensuring alignment and clarity across all stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain a centralized master list of requests and feature roadmaps, balancing competing priorities to align with tasks timelines and business goals. Ensuring key milestones are met and managing interdependencies.
- Proactively communicate prioritization decisions, timeline adjustments, and trade-offs to stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment.
- Collaborate with technical and operational teams to elaborate on user stories, ensuring clear understanding of issues and deliverables, especially urgent / critical items.
- As needed, liaise with external partners (eg. vendors, clients) to gather critical information and facilitate seamless communication between internal and external stakeholders.
- As needed, participate with internal teams in Compliance, Tax, Legal, and Accounting to assist regional business team to ensure that project / processes adhere to regulatory standards and are for target markets / countries.
Execution & Delivery Excellence
Serve as the central liaison for internal project requests or ad-hoc, between regional teams and HQ.Assess, prioritize, and assign tasks based on urgency, resources, and business impact.Collaborate with teams across to align deliverables with stakeholder needs. Facilitate meetings, document action items, and ensure accountability for deadlines.Track progress of all requests using project management tools (e.g. Gitlab, Microsoft Lists, PPT).Proactively identify bottlenecks and resolve conflicts to maintain on-time delivery.Develop standardized workflows for handling ad-hoc requests to improve efficiency. As needed, create templates, documentation, and knowledge repositories for repeatable tasks.Manage expectations by clearly communicating timelines, dependencies, and risks. Deliver concise summaries and reports to leadership on project outcomes.Pre-Requisites :
Qualification & Requirements
Candidate must be possess at least Diploma / Degree in Business / IT / Finance or Fintech / Analyst or equivalent.3-5 years of experience in fintech, financial services or payment industry.Solid understanding of payment industry is a plus, experience in project coordination, or similar roles (fintech or tech preferred).High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple / competing priorities simultaneously.Able to independently discuss issues and requirements with multiple departments.Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.Analysis mindset, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills. Proactive problem-solver with a “get-it-done” attitude.Required Language (s) : Bahasa Malaysia, English. Mandarin proficiency is an advantage.Are you game?
