JN Cayman is seeking an experienced, analytical, and detail‑driven Assistant Manager – Accounts to support our financial stewardship and operational excellence. This role is critical in ensuring that the company’s financial statements are accurate, compliant, and reflective of true financial performance, while contributing to strategic decision‑making across the business.
About the Role
The Assistant Manager – Accounts is responsible for producing timely and accurate financial reports, managing reconciliations, reviewing schedules, monitoring results, and ensuring full compliance with regulatory, audit, and internal control requirements. The role supports strategic planning by preparing monthly management accounts, performance reports, financial statements, and CIMA submissions. It also supervises one team member, approves electronic payments, and signs cheques on behalf of JN Cayman.
Responsibilities
Management & Reporting
- Prepare monthly financial statements, Solomon journals, and variance reports.
- Submit financials, KPIs, regulatory ratios, consolidation packs, and inter‑company grids to Group Finance.
- Review daily cash flow reports and ensure accuracy for management decision‑making.
- Prepare monthly performance reports and quarterly CIMA reports.
- Participate in annual budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis exercises.
- Ensure all reconciliations and schedules are completed and submitted within established timelines.
Quality Control
Manage cash flow reporting and ensure timely upload of Phoenix batches to Solomon.Reconcile sub‑ledgers, work‑in‑progress accounts, and general ledger entries monthly.Ensure daily clearing / reposting of back‑office transactions.Internal Process Management
Liaise with Group Office on inter‑company matters and reconciliation issues.Support internal and external audits and compliance exercises.Manage performance appraisals and development plans for the finance team.Assist with accounts payable and disbursement of mortgages.Skills & Competencies
