Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur is looking for a Catering & Event Services Manager to join our Sales & Commerce team and effectively execute catering and events activities while working closely with banquet operations colleagues to ensure confirmed events run smoothly.

About The Job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur, within the Sales & Commerce Department, the Catering & Event Services Manager reports to the Director of Commercial Strategy / Director of Catering & Event Services.

Responsibilities

• Constantly monitor the progress of assigned Catering and Event Services Coordinator / Executive and discuss with the Director of Catering and Event Services action plans for improvement.
• Organize and coordinate inspections, when required, to ensure that all programmes are handled professionally.
• liaise with clients on their requirements when a confirmed lead has been handed over.
• ensure that event orders and other important documentation are prepared in meticulous detail and presented in the most professional manner.
• perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established Mandarin Oriental policies to achieve the overall objectives of the position.
