At Hitachi eBworx Sdn. Bhd, we’re looking for a talented Senior Database Administrator (Oracle, PL / SQL) to be part of our dynamic team in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.

What You’ll Do :

  • Manage, troubleshoot, and optimize Oracle databases to ensure peak performance.
  • Partner with project teams to design and implement scalable, mission-critical systems with optimized database architecture, performance, and SQL development.
  • Analyze and resolve application performance issues while coordinating with customers and teams.
  • Lead capacity planning, data archiving, and purging strategies to maintain database efficiency.
  • Provide technical leadership, manage tasks, and guide the Database Administration team to success.

What You’ll Bring :

  • A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5–7 years of experience in Oracle database administration or a related role.
  • Strong skills in Oracle RDBMS architecture, SQL / PLSQL optimization, and database troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with tools like AWR, SQL Reports, ASH Reports or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to design scalable database systems and implement capacity planning, archiving, and purging strategies.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

    • Bonus Points For :

  • Experience in database system installation, monitoring, and performance tuning with AWR Reporting.
  • Advanced understanding of SQL explain plans and query optimization.
  • A track record of success in leading database teams or projects.
