HEALTH, SAFETY, ENVIRONMENT & QUALITY POLICIES & PROCEDURES

Formulate and develop HSEQ policies and procedures by ensuring that it is in line with Corporate HSE policies and ensuring compliance to applicable statutory requirements so as to ensure effective and efficient HWE management and to promote development of a safety culture within the organization.

POLICY IMPLEMENTATION

Plan and control the implementation of approved policies and procedures by ensuring compliance by all parties so as to minimize hazards and risks and damage to life and property.

HAZARD & RISK MANAGEMENT

Ensure effective hazard and risk identification, assessment and control through periodic safety audit / inspection of building, workshops, container yard, warehouse & other facilities, surveillance of vehicle movements & operations, including contractors and sub-contractors so as to detect existing or potential hazards / risks and recommend relevant corrective or preventive measures.

HEALTH, SAFETY, ENVIRONMENT AND QUALITY AWARENESS

Effectively promote HSE awareness amongst all levels of employees through awareness programs / briefings, training programs, consultation and provide advice to line personnel to increase proficiency in HSE practices. Develop industrial health programmes to reduce occupational hazard whilst increasing awareness among employees on health related issues.

ACCIDENT / INCIDENT INVESTIGATION / ANALYSIS / REPORT

Develop a systematic method and procedure of accident reporting, accident analysis, tracking and closure of corrective action. Ensure proper investigation of all accidents / incidents cases relating to health and safety including road traffic accidents, personal injuries, industrial accidents, chemical spillage etc. involving company personnel or properties.

Identify and analyze root causes of accidents / incidents and make appropriate recommendations on corrective or preventive measures to be taken to prevent recurrence.

PEOPLE, BUILDING & PROPERTY SECURITY

Ensure physical security measures and control for MILS and manage and control the overall security surveillance, including access and exit to company facilities by enforcing security measures on employees, visitors and contractors so as to ensure the safety of the people, building and property and no incidents reported.

PLANNING AND BUDGETING

Develop annual budgeting plans for health and safety programs & initiatives and HSEQ management company wide and monitor trend of actual expenditure against budget so as to ensure cost effectiveness.

RELATIONSHIP BUILDING

Establish and maintain close rapport liaison with DOSH, NIOSH, Fire & Rescue Department, Police Department, local authorities, other government bodies and Container Haulier Association Safety Committee to facilitate smooth business operations. Act as the nominated company Management Representative under the terms of ISO 9001 and ISO

HSEQ DATABASE & REPORTING

Ensure maintenance of statistical data on HSEQ related activities including work related accidents and illness records, chemical disposal records and other records required by law and applicable regulations for management reporting.

STAFF DEVELOPMENT

Manage, develop and motivate staff to upgrade skills and elevate productivity level by providing guidance and advice and supporting Human Resource Development initiatives that would enhance staff motivation and productivity so as to ensure a core professionally competent team of Integrated Logistics HSE experts is available to provide value-added logistics solutions that satisfy customers' needs and achieving the company goals and objectives.

SAFETY & QUALITY

Comply with the organizations health, safety, environmental and quality (HSEQ) policies, maintain and continually improve the HSEQ management system, meet and exceed where practicable, HSEQ objectives, targets and legal requirements relevant to job responsibilities, actively encourage the implementation of workplace improvements in HSEQ and continuously promote the concepts of HSEQ among subordinates and peers.
