Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for ensuring flour production adheres to customer specifications and for maintaining optimal flour extraction rates.
- Monitor mill performance and maintain optimal mill balance
- Supervise and provide guidance to the senior miller and mill technician
- Monitor and ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of the plant
- Review and verify production documentation and checklists for accuracy and completeness
- Identify and implement process efficiency improvements within the mill.
- Monitor, investigate, and resolve plant operation stoppages and equipment breakdowns.
- Monitor and assess equipment condition to ensure optimal performance and prevent failures
- Ensure production staff adheres to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety work procedures.
- Source suppliers and obtain quotations for necessary materials and services
- Contributes to production order management and planning.
- Ensures production complies with all applicable food safety standards
- Develop and implement plans for wheat conditioning and flour milling processes
Education & Qualification
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree / Post Graduate Diploma / Professional Degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification recognised.Technical Skills & Professional Knowledge
