Job Summary :

Sr Business Development Executive to expand our Money Services Business (MSB) agent and Cash-In-Cash-Out (CICO) merchant network. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying potential partners, managing the onboarding process, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing continuous support to agents and merchants.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Agent & Merchant Acquisition :

  • Conduct market research to identify potential businesses that align with the company’s criteria for becoming MSB (Money Services Business) Agents or Cash-In-Cash-Out (CICO) Merchants .
  • Develop and maintain a target list of prospective companies , including retail stores, financial service providers, and high-traffic businesses that can facilitate remittance services.
  • Schedule and conduct in-person visits to these potential agents / merchants to present the business model, benefits, and requirements of joining as an MSB agent or CICO merchant.
  • Assess the business viability of each prospect by evaluating factors such as customer footfall, business reputation, location accessibility, and financial stability .
  • Conduct site visits and assessments to evaluate the suitability of locations for new agent branches.
  • Analyse competitor presence and assess how a new agent location could offer competitive advantages.
  • Prepare and present feasibility reports and recommendations to management for decision-making on agent expansion.

3. Agent Support & Relationship Management :

  • Conduct onboarding visits along with the agent support officer for newly appointed agents / merchants.
  • Assist the agent support team in launching the agent’s business operations.
  • Conduct periodic visits to agents to ensure they receive ongoing support.
  • Communicate agent feedback and concerns to the support team for resolution.
  • 4. Compliance & Coordination :

  • Ensure a proper end-to-end onboarding process for MSB agents and CICO merchants.
  • Conduct thorough Know Your Customer (KYC) checks on companies, directors, and shareholders.
  • Work closely with the processing, compliance, agent support, and marketing teams to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
  • Responsibilities may be reviewed or adjusted based on management discretion.
  • Qualifications & Requirements :

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the remittance, money exchange, sales, or marketing field.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements in the MSB industry .
  • Strong sales and communication skills for engaging potential partners.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills , with the ability to engage effectively with prospects.
  • Familiarity with the eMoney ecosystem and its related products.
