Overview
Perform tasks such as, but not limited to, the following : Responsibilities
Provides advance-level professional support in the planning of a production schedule for a designated product(s). Performs Master Production Schedule (MPS) / Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) inputting and validation with Program Management. Has responsibility for parameter management and reporting for designated products. Ensures alignment of customer purchase orders with production scheduling. Assists with product End-of-Life analysis and development of action plans. Coordinates shop order releases and materials kitting requirements. Trigger parts shortages and works with Material Planner to expedite material and / or approve material substitution. Tracks shipments according to commit date to customer and notifies Program Management of potential issues / problems. Advance knowledge of production planning fundamentals, scheduling, materials requirements planning techniques and manufacturing control systems. Knowledge of basic computer applications and the ability to learn and use multiple applications specific to this department including the ERP and office systems. Basic understanding of customer behavior and needs. Basic math and data entry. Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy and working under tight time deadlines. Ability to evaluate, prioritize and problem solve a variety of tasks to ensure their timely and accurate completion. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers. Qualifications
Typical Experience : Five to seven years of Production Planning experience. Typical Education : Bachelor degree in related field, or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience. Educational requirements may vary by geography. Physical Demands
Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment. Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
