Position Summary
The Finance Manager plays a critical role in supporting the Group Financial Controller in managing the day-to-day financial operations of the group entities. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, timely closing, compliance with local statutory requirements, and coordination across departments to support budgeting, audits, tax, treasury, and internal controls. The ideal candidate should be hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of leading a local finance team while working within a regional framework.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of books for assigned entities.
- Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with local accounting standards and group policies.
- Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial reports and management reporting packs.
2. Budgeting, Forecasting & Variance Analysis
Support the annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasting process for assigned entities.Monitor actual performance vs. budget and investigate variances with department heads.Provide data-driven financial analysis to support decision-making.3. Taxation & Statutory Compliance
Ensure accurate and timely submission of tax filings (corporate tax, SST / GST / VAT, withholding tax, etc.).Coordinate with external tax agents and auditors to meet statutory obligations.Maintain compliance with local regulatory requirements and support group-wide audit readiness.4. Internal Controls & Policy Implementation
Implement and monitor compliance with group financial policies and internal control procedures.Identify and address weaknesses or process inefficiencies in accounting and finance operations.Ensure proper documentation and audit trail for all financial transactions.5. Treasury & Cash Flow Management
Assist in managing cash flow forecasts and working capital requirements.Review payment cycles, monitor bank balances, and ensure proper execution of transactions.Liaise with banks and support treasury-related matters such as fund transfers and FX management.6. Team Supervision & Cross-Functional Coordination
Supervise and guide junior finance and accounting staff to ensure high-quality output.Liaise with HR, operations, client service, and other departments for interdepartmental transactions and reporting needs.Support the training and development of the finance team.Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent are preferred.Experience
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in financial and management accounting.Experience in multi-entity, cross-border or group-level finance operations is an advantage.Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of accounting standards and tax regulations (local and regional).Proficient in accounting software and financial systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or other ERP platforms).Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.Good organizational and time management abilities to meet deadlines.Team player with effective communication and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.What We Offer
