SEN Teacher

Responsibilities

• Develop creative, engaging lesson plans tailored to meet the unique needs, strengths, and interests of each student.
• Support & Inspire Provide one‑on‑one or small group support to students, adjusting strategies based on individual progress. Foster a positive, encouraging environment to motivate students and build self‑confidence. Promote a growth mindset and resilience, helping students overcome academic and social challenges.
• Track & Report Progress Conduct regular assessments and observations to monitor student progress in key areas. Prepare weekly progress reports and adjust learning plans as needed to meet each student’s goals. Develop and review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) monthly, setting clear objectives in partnership with other professionals and parents.
• Collaborate with Team Members Work closely with therapists, center staff, and other professionals to provide holistic support for each student. Actively participate in weekly team meetings and case discussions to share insights and update colleagues on students’ progress and needs. Coordinate with the administrative team for scheduling and resources required to support learning activities.
• Engage with Families Maintain regular, open communication with parents and guardians, updating them on their child’s progress, milestones, and areas for improvement. Offer empathetic, clear responses to parents’ concerns and questions, working with families to develop a unified support approach.
