Production Team Leader (Supervisor)

Job Overview

This is an entry‑level supervisory role that provides leadership to employees performing routine work within a single function or work group. The position reports to a first‑level manager, directs a unit or group of employees, assigns tasks, and monitors performance to meet unit goals.

Responsibilities

• Collect a daily production schedule from planning and receive material for manufacturing, modification, or repair of products.
• Coordinate materials, personnel, equipment, and other resources to achieve on‑time production of quality products within budget guidelines.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks in the production process and manage controllable operating expenditures such as scrap and consumables.
• Guide teams to continuously improve processes and drive production efficiencies.
• Conduct return‑to‑work interviews and first‑level disciplinary hearings in a timely, consistent, and professional manner.
• Apply knowledge of the production process, tools, and equipment used to achieve production quality and quantity metrics.

Physical Demands

The position is performed in a manufacturing environment with occasional exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, operating machinery, and temperature extremes. Duties may require sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or detailed data.
