SENIOR STAFF NURSE / STAFF NURSE (ICU)

Provide direct patient care in accordance with established nursing care plans, medical protocols, and hospital policies.

Assess and monitor patients' conditions, record observations, and report any significant changes to the healthcare team.

Supervision and Leadership

Supervise and coordinate the activities of junior nursing staff on assigned shifts.

Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced nurses, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

Clinical Oversight

Monitor the quality of patient care on assigned shifts, ensuring adherence to established standards and protocols.

Collaborate with nursing staff to address patient care concerns and ensure patient safety.

Medication Administration

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established protocols.

Monitor and manage medication side effects and therapeutic effectiveness.

Documentation

Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes.

Complete documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.

Staff Training and Development

Facilitate orientation and ongoing training for junior nursing staff.

Identify opportunities for staff development and coordinate training sessions as needed.

Collaboration with Healthcare Team

Collaborate with physicians, fellow nurses, and other healthcare professionals to plan and implement patient care.

Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and meetings as required.

Emergency Response

Respond effectively to emergencies, including providing life‑saving interventions and collaborating with the healthcare team.

Maintain competence in basic life support (BLS) and other relevant certifications.

Quality Improvement

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and activities to enhance patient care and outcomes.

Contribute to the review and revision of nursing care procedures as needed.

Patient and Family Interaction

• Address patient and family concerns or inquiries on assigned shifts.
• Ensure a patient‑centered approach to care and address any issues promptly.

Education and Requirements

Education

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
