We are seeking a Bahasa Melayu Teacher to join the National Primary school and help our learners progress. You may teach students from 3 years old to 11 years old. You should be experienced and knowledgeable about teaching our national language, passionate about learning, and aware of factors that affect learning. You will be good at working with and inspiring your colleagues, our students, and their parents.

Overview

Tenby Schools Setia Eco Park, Kuala Lumpur campus is a large 3-18 school on a 20-acre site with excellent facilities. It is part of Tenby International School and affiliated with International Schools Partnership (ISP). The campus serves over 2000 students aged 3-18 from 38 nationalities, with 1350 in the international school and 600 in the primary school. The group emphasizes collaboration, continuous improvement, and delivering amazing learning experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Bahasa Melayu to students aged 3 to 11 in a primary setting.
  • Work with and inspire colleagues, students, and parents to support learning outcomes.
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment that aligns with school policies and safeguarding requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in education
  • At least 3 years of relevant teaching experience
  • Preferably experience in teaching Primary National School
  • High level of proficiency in subject knowledge and the KSSM syllabus
  • Passionate about teaching and learning with familiarity of classroom instructional strategies
  • Able to manage student behaviour positively
  • Willing to commit time and energy to continuous improvement
  • Responsible, reliable, trustworthy
  • Independent and proactive when faced with challenges
  • Excellent collaborator and team-player
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Able to manage high to moderate levels of stress
  • Strong communicator who is personable, caring, and has high expectations
