Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior Client Operations Officer in the Settlements team, responsible for accurate and timely settlement of securities transactions. The role includes managing daily operations, coordinating with stakeholders, ensuring compliance, and driving process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Execute securities trade processing and settlement follow‑up in the designated cluster within the stipulated timeframe.
- Perform checks and controls, highlight issues in reports and escalation to manager where applicable.
- Resolve complex issues guided by procedure and senior team guidance.
- Ensure accuracy of processing according to operating procedures.
- Complete reporting tasks and handle queries in a timely manner.
- Diligently follow up on all open issues until resolution.
- Escalate operational issues or abnormalities according to local escalation protocol.
- Guide junior team members on technical competency.
- Support the team manager with ad‑hoc requests related to core business or departmental activities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or equivalent degree.Strong technical understanding of trade settlement requirements and instruction formats.Knowledge of failed settlement implications across Asia and Middle East markets.Understanding of upstream‑downstream dependency in Custody Settlement stakeholders.Strong problem‑solving skills and analytical thinking.Clear and concise communication to coordinate trade issue resolution.3–5 years of relevant experience.Full understanding of market‑specific processes such as Buy‑In, market penalty calculation, Stock Connect, and Bond Connect.Continuous learning mindset and strong sense of responsibility.Knowledge of ICSD, American and European settlement requirements.Working Hours and Location
Working hours : 9am – 6pm MYT. Location : Asia – Malaysia (IOI City, Putrajaya).
