Researcher - Financial Services (fluent Thai)

Overview
The Financial Services Researcher is responsible for producing high-quality enhanced due diligence reports for financial services clients. Reports should be clear, analytical, and well-written to help clients meet compliance and regulatory requirements in the Asia Pacific region.
Responsibilities
- Conduct public records research and discreet interviews to gather intelligence surrounding companies and individuals
- Research specific topics and issues and draft summaries and findings, independently or as part of a team
- Produce high-quality research reports for financial institution clients (e.g., for major banking transactions such as IPOs and debt issuance)
- Support the line manager in training, and in coordinating internal and external resources to complete enhanced due diligence projects in a timely and effective manner
- Project manage enhanced due diligence assignments for financial services clients
- Assist in the proposal process, conduct scoping research, and communicate with clients to understand requirements
- Communicate with clients (primarily compliance or internal control departments) to clarify scope, address questions, and suggest potential additional avenues of research
- Assist managers in developing and expanding the pool of research resources and subcontractors in the region
- Liaise with vendors and subcontractors to ensure quality and adherence to global delivery standards
- Engage with colleagues across Control Risks to address client queries

Interact with researchers, supervisors, managers, and QA teams to provide support and feedback on VANTAGE workParticipate in discussions on potential service / product improvements with the VANTAGE team and Control Risks GroupRequirements
Education to degree level (minimum bachelor’s)Full fluency in written and spoken Thai and EnglishExperience in writing, researching, and reviewing / editing research reports in Thai and EnglishStrong knowledge of open-source research techniquesGood communication skills and ability to engage with individuals at different levels of seniorityCritical thinking and problem-solving abilitiesUnderstanding of the socio-political environment in South-East AsiaProven ability to meet project deadlines and work under pressurePreferred
Experience executing and managing enhanced due diligence projects for financial institution clientsExperience engaging with international clients, preparing proposals, providing updates, and handling follow-up questionsFluency in an additional languageBenefits
