JOB DESCRIPTION

Project Supervision & Execution

  • Supervise construction & electrical installation works for telecommunication sites (e.g., BTS towers, shelters, data centers).
  • Oversee construction & electrical works according to design specifications.
  • Ensure proper installation of backup power systems (e.g., generators, UPS, solar systems).

Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce adherence to safety procedures and electrical codes (e.g., Suruhanjaya Tenaga requirements).
  • Conduct site safety briefings and toolbox meetings before starting work.
  • Ensure compliance with company SOPs, ISO standards, and client specifications.

    • Team Management

  • Lead and coordinate electricians, subcontractors, and technical staff at project sites.
  • Allocate tasks and monitor progress to meet project timelines.
  • Provide technical guidance and resolve on-site electrical issues.

    • Quality Control & Testing

  • Inspect and test completed electrical works to ensure proper functioning.
  • Verify grounding, insulation resistance, and load testing results.
  • Prepare reports on test results, defects, and corrective actions.

    • Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain site records, installation checklists, and test reports.
  • Update the Project Manager on work progress and any site challenges.
  • Assist in preparing as-built drawings and handover documentation

    • Job Requirements

    Education

  • Diploma / Certificate in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

    • Certification

  • Valid Suruhanjaya Tenaga (A0 / A1 / A4 or higher) electrical competency certificate.

    • Experience

  • Minimum 3–5 years in construction & electrical works, preferably in telecommunication or construction projects.

    • Skills & Competencies :

  • Strong knowledge of construction & electrical systems, power distribution, and backup power solutions.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with telecommunication site requirements and equipment.

    • Other Requirements :

  • Willing to travel and work at remote sites.
  • Able to work under tight schedules and in all weather conditions.
  • Knowledge of ISO and safety management systems is an advantage.
