Senior Accountant – Business Services & Trust Audit (Remote, Malaysia-Based)

Location : Remote (Work from Home, Malaysia)

Employment Type : Full-Time

Salary : MYR 4,000 – MYR 5,000 per month (commensurate with experience)

The interview will be conducted remotely first followed by an in-person one in KL.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Accountant with a strong background in business services and trust account audits. This remote role offers the chance to manage a varied client portfolio, provide strategic financial advice, and mentor junior team members. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping client strategies and contributing to their growth.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and develop a portfolio of business clients, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Prepare and review financial statements, BAS, GST, FBT, and income tax returns in accordance with Australian standards.
Conduct trust account audits, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Provide strategic business and tax advisory services.
Liaise directly with clients to understand and meet their financial needs.
Mentor and supervise junior accountants, fostering their professional growth.
Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards and tax legislation.

About You

CA or CPA qualified.

Minimum of 5 years' experience in business services within an Australian public practice.

Proficient in accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, and QuickBooks.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Advantage to speak basic Chinese.

Proven ability to manage multiple clients and meet deadlines.

Experience with trust account audits and knowledge of relevant Australian regulations.
