This position reports to : Head of Regulatory Affairs Malaysia
Job Purpose :
Manage and implement key regulatory deliverables by the means of conducting research, acting as a reference point, engage, liaise and communicate with regulatory bodies and Government agencies to ensure compliance to the relevant Acts, Rules and Regulations. The incumbent is also expected to draft and recommend regulatory advisory in support of the Company's policy positions.
Your Work Life :
- License compliance – monitor and ensure the renewal of all operational licenses and apparatus assignments within the prescribed time frame. Advise inter-department on legislative changes / updates on licensing framework
- Access Agreement Compliance – monitor and ensure compliance of all interconnect agreements including compliance of the Technical & Implementation Manual and Operations & Maintenance Manual of access agreements
- Customer / Consumer complaints – provide support to relevant business units to ensure all customer (individual or corporate) complaints are attended to. Coordinate referred complaints from KKOM, MCMC, and CMCF and carry out follow up actions within the company
- Law enforcement agencies – assist law enforcement agencies on matters relating to fraud, scam and criminal cases
- Compliance with the mandatory standards – ensure full compliance with the standards set by the MCMC i.e. Mandatory Standards for Quality of Service (MSQoS)
- Numbering management – manage application of numbers and provide advisory on number assignment and policy
- Provide relevant advice and support to internal teams with regards to compliance to MCMC's rules and regulation
- Act as the reference point to convey strategic regulatory compliance advice to management
- Draft regulatory policy papers for internal reference in preparation of possible engagement with the Regulator / Government agencies
- Monitor and attend to regulatory and industry matters to ensure that the company's products and services remain in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Gather, draft, and coordinate the organization responses (Public Inquiry papers, Public Consultation paper and other enquiries) for submission to MCMC
- Engage and liaise with external stakeholders to effectively communicate the company's positions on key policy issues
All You Need :
Candidate with a Degree in Law, Economics or Business AdministrationMinimum 8-10 years working experienceMinimum 5 years of experience in regulatory policy work within the telecommunications industryPrior experience in research and policy workAble to write and prepare clear and concise presentation deckProject management experience and analytical skills are preferredWhat You Get :
