Role Overview

As an Associate - Electrical Engineer specializing in Science, Industry and Technology (SIT) at Arup, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing electrical systems within mission-critical data centre facilities. You will oversee other building sector projects within the electrical team, leveraging your expertise in electrical engineering and data centre infrastructure. Experience in healthcare, education, commercial, aviation, and leisure sectors is also valuable.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver electrical designs that ensure reliability, efficiency, and scalability of data centre operations, from concept to commissioning.

The Opportunity

• Lead electrical design on medium / high risk, major projects as an Associate - Electrical Lead.
• Hold leadership responsibilities within the buildings group and SIT business, focusing on operations and business development.
• Design complex electrical systems tailored for data centres, including cooling, ventilation, and fire suppression systems.
• Manage project activities, teams, quality, and delivery, while planning future resources.
• Guide and mentor junior team members, ensuring project standards and representing the team in meetings.
