Job descriptionDiploma or degree in Engineering Drafting or a related field. Minimum 2 years of experience as a Drafter, preferably in the Engineering industry. Proficient in using CAD software, such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks. Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate and precise technical drawings. Good problem‑solving and analytical skills to interpret engineering requirements. Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross‑functional teams. Knowledge of relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
Drafter
M.E.I. Consultants Sdn Bhd is looking for a talented Drafter to join our Engineering department in George Town, Penang.
What you'll be doing
- Interpreting engineering specifications and requirements to create accurate and detailed technical drawings using CAD software.
- Preparing a variety of drawings, including site plans, building elevations, floor plans, and mechanical schematics.
- Collaborating with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure drawings meet project requirements.
- Maintaining and updating drawing archives and documentation.
- Providing support and advice to project teams on technical drawing‑related matters.
- Staying up-to‑date with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
