We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor (QS) with a strong background in cost estimation, tendering, and contract management. This is an exciting opportunity to lead high-value interior projects, mentor junior QS team members, and grow your career in a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cost Estimation & BOQ Preparation

Prepare detailed cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQ), and tender documents for interior fit-out and furniture projects.

  • Tendering & Procurement

    • Manage the tendering process, evaluate supplier quotations, and negotiate sub-contractor agreements to achieve competitive pricing.

  • Contract Administration

    • Review and interpret contractual documents, ensuring compliance and identifying risks and opportunities.

  • Project Cost Control

    • Monitor project budgets, track expenditures, and provide regular cost reports and financial forecasts.

  • Variation & Claims Management

    • Evaluate, negotiate, and prepare variation orders, progress claims, and final accounts.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration

    • Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, clients, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution and cost efficiency.

  • Compliance & Quality Assurance

    • Ensure adherence to industry regulations, company policies, and quality standards throughout all project stages.

    Requirements

  • Education : Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Experience : Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in interior fit-out or custom furniture projects, managing full project lifecycles.
  • Languages : Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an advantage.

    • Technical Skills :

    Strong knowledge of construction contracts, tendering processes, cost control, and BOQ preparation

  • Proficient in quantity surveying software , MS Office, and project management tools
  • Familiarity with interior fit-out and furniture manufacturing costing preferred

    • Soft Skills :

    Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and results-driven
  • Strong communicator with cross-functional collaboration experience
  • Leadership qualities to mentor junior team members

  • Salary : RM5,000 – RM6,000 per month (based on experience & performance)
