Estimating Assistant / Quantity Takeoff (Remote)

Overview

We're Hiring : Estimating Assistant / Quantity Takeoff! We are looking for a highly analytical and methodical Estimating Assistant to support our estimating team in quantity takeoffs, cost planning, and tender preparation. This remote role is suitable for candidates with a strong construction background who are experienced in interpreting drawings and calculating material and labor quantities across building trades.

Location : Petaling Jaya, Malaysia

Work Mode : Work From Office

Role : Estimating Assistant / Quantity Takeoff

What You’ll Do

• Perform quantity takeoffs from architectural and structural drawings for all building trades (e.g., concrete, framing, finishes)
• Assist in preparing and updating Bills of Quantities (BOQs)
• Enter quantities and rates into estimating templates or software (e.g., Cubit, CostX, Excel)
• Request, organize, and compare supplier / subcontractor quotes
• Format and compile tender submissions with required breakdowns and inclusions / exclusions
• Track drawing revisions and update estimates accordingly
• Collaborate with the senior estimator / project manager to ensure estimate accuracy
