Responsibilities : Safety officer
- Develop, implement and maintain strategies, plans and procedures to protect employees, property and facilities from workplace health and safety hazards.
- Assess workplace hazards and risks and recommend appropriate measures to mitigate them.
- Ensuring the highest safety compliance standards for work sites, warehouse and a healthy work setting work staff, visitors and vendors.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential safety issues and ensure compliance with established safety protocols.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Provide regular safety training sessions and organise impactful safety campaigns to promote awareness.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for safety inspections, incidents and training.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety strategies, plans and procedures, and adjust as needed.
- Provide guidance and support to management and employees on safety-related matters.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to promote safety initiatives and ensure the integration of safety practices into daily operations.
- Stay updated about emerging safety trends, regulations and best practices to ensure continuous improvement.
- Establishing and maintaining effective communication channels with external organisations, such as government bodies, safety organisations and insurance companies (if any)
Project support and resource planning :
Work closely with the Project Managers and Installation & Commissioning Managers to create comprehensive action plans including project scope, timelines, budget, and resource needs.Assist in project kick-off preparation such as equipment quotations, house drawings, wiring diagrams, packing lists, back orders, tooling for internal supervisor deployment, and follow-up with customers or sales teams for site readiness.Support ongoing project tracking and reporting using MS Project.Maintain and regularly update project documentation, including project start / end dates, manpower logs, and progress trackers including future forecast.Monitor tooling movement and coordination with team for deployment and returns. Examine the returned tooling, manage repairs and support the planning of annual tooling investments.Customer service support, to call & compile customer's feedback / views about service technician's service support for ASFS improvement plans.Monthly reports on customer expectations, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for Service Maintenance contracts.Time Sheet, Leave and Utilization report management. To maintain all the updated information of the service technician and make sure all these information are available to prepare the monthly report.Communicate resource constraints and negotiate adjustments with project leads and department heads.Requirements
Budget costing monitoring & Project Management experience;Ability to liaise with diverse range of stakeholders to effectively deliver change;Good knowledge in Microsoft Excel, EII, CRM & MS Project is preferable;Atten to detail, excellent analytical and good problem-solving skillsHigh cost-conscious awarenessTechnical understanding of the systems for quote checking.Capable of working within tight deadlines and multiple projectsStrong analytical skills and meticulous with an eye for details
