Job description
Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end commercial strategy for a major department (e.g., Cosmetic, Skincare, Health, Personal Care), driving sales, margin, and customer relevance through data-led decisions and supplier partnerships.
Set and deliver P&L targets for the category including sales, gross margin, and total commercial income.
Shape product, price, promotion, and placement strategies that meet customer needs.
Build and lead a high-performing team across category roles.
Negotiate strategic JBPs and deliver total income from suppliers.
Lead category development including new product introductions and range reviews.
Coordinate execution of promotional and in-store activity.
Monitor market, customer, and competitor trends to stay ahead.
Champion Guardian’s category strategy in internal cross-functional forums.
KPI includes Sales, GP%, TCI%, Market Share, Stock Holding, Team Performance
Strategic thinking, commercial acumen, team leadership, data fluency, change management, supplier management.

Qualifications
Diploma / Degree with 10-12 years of related working experience in similar retail industry
Strong leadership and coaching ability.
