Claims Specialist – General Claims (Hong Kong Market Support)

Job descriptionRegistration, Processing and Adjudication of claims (General Insurance) within turnaround time. Assists in the determination of claim liabilities, value, and service provider fees and sets reserves, with low financial authority, according to company and legal standards Ensure computed claims settlement and verified reimbursements from insurers are valid. Diligently monitor and follow-up on unsettled claims with insurers and / or outstanding information from clients. Interact with stakeholders to ensure proper execution of tasks. Prepare claims statistic report on a monthly basis including updating the documentation processes. Proactively identify problems with the team or client and provide solutions. Participate in project initiatives to improve efficiency and productivity of the department. At least a Bachelor’s degree in any field Minimum 2 years in Claims Handling / Claims Processing role, specifically in General Insurance Policies. Possess basic General Insurance knowledge Ability to understand, speak, read, and write English is required, along with the ability to converse in Cantonese to support the Hong Kong market. We are seeking a talented individual to join our Claims Operations team at Marsh & McLennan Asia Business Services (MMABS). This role will be based in our Pavilion Damansara Corporate Towers, Kuala Lumpur office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working as per respective team's arrangement.
Claims Specialist – General Claims (Hong Kong Market Support)
- Processing General Insurance General Claims, verifying claim documentation, evaluating claim eligibility, determining coverage parameters, and calculating appropriate claim settlements.
- The ultimate objective is to facilitate a streamlined and accurate claims handling process, ensuring prompt and equitable resolutions for a diverse range of non-motor insurance policies in Hong Kong.
