Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition at AIA Malaysia
Position Overview
- Oversee AIA Asset Management, Corporate Real Estate, Sustainability, and Renovation Project initiatives, ensuring strategic alignment and operational excellence.
- Lead and manage the Corporate Real Estate, Sustainability, and Project Management functions within AIA Malaysia, ensuring robust governance, data accuracy and full compliance with applicable laws, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
- Oversee Corporate Real Estate operations including space planning, workplace strategy, and end-to-end property lifecycle management to support evolving business needs and enhance employee experience.
- Drive ESG integration across all real estate and facilities initiatives, ensuring alignment with AIA’s sustainability objectives and regulatory expectations.
Roles and Responsibilities
Develop and implement long-term real estate strategies that align with business growth objectives and operational efficiency.Lead site selection, lease negotiations, acquisitions and dispositions across both regional and global property portfolios.Workplace Design & Transformation
Oversee interior design and workplace planning to deliver functional, engaging and brand-aligned environments that support employee experience and business needs.Facilities & Operations Oversight
Manage vendor relationships and service contracts to ensure cost-effective, high-quality service delivery.Lead real estate space planning and ad-hoc reconfigurations for existing premises, including layout design, costing and implementation to meet evolving business requirements.Develop and execute comprehensive facilities management plans to ensure efficient operations and maintenance across all properties.Oversee building maintenance and repairs, ensuring compliance with health, safety and regulatory standards.Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain optimal facility conditions and address issues proactively.Lead capital projects – including office fit‑outs, relocations and refurbishments – from concept through to completion.Ensure timely delivery, budget adherence and full compliance with regulatory and internal standards.Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with senior leadership, Finance, Legal and Compliance teams to align real estate strategies with corporate objectives.Serve as the primary liaison with external consultants, landlords and relevant government authorities.Financial & Risk Management
Develop and manage CAPEX and OPEX budgets, forecasts and financial models for real estate operations.Implement cost control measures and optimise resource allocation across projects and facilities.Ensure financial discipline, transparency and governance in all real estate transactions and operational expenditures.Identify and mitigate risks related to property, regulatory compliance and business continuity.Education : Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Architecture, Interior Design, Facilities Management or a related field.Experience : Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in Investment, Real Estate or related industries, with at least 10 years in a managerial capacity.Technical Knowledge : Strong understanding of Green Building concepts and certification standards. Well‑versed in legal, statutory and regulatory policies and guidelines related to the real estate industry.Mobility : Willing to travel up to 50% for work‑related assignments.Other Skills : Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; strong verbal and written communication skills.Seniority level
