Job Purpose
- Manage classification‑related work packages, where required, providing regulatory compliance consultancy for the project.
- Consolidate and coordinate all necessary regulatory authorizations covering Coastal State, Flag State, Classification societies, and relevant third‑party bodies to ensure the F(P)SO / FPU secures and maintains its License to Operate.
- Ensure all procured equipment meets certification requirements aligned with applicable project codes, standards, and specifications, including those mandated by Coastal State, Flag State, and Classification authorities, in close collaboration with discipline package engineers.
- Oversee and confirm closure of all regulatory compliance actions associated with construction, onshore activities, and offshore commissioning.
Job Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance ManagementDevelop, issue, and maintain the Project Regulatory Compliance Plan.Define, monitor, and expedite actions listed in the Regulatory Obligations Register.Authorization & Certification OversightIdentify, track, and compile all regulatory authorizations required by Coastal State, Flag State, Port State, Classification Societies, and Third‑Party Regulators for the project scope.Coordinate close‑out of Class design reviews, surveys, and certification issues (including Class, Ex, and Materials).Stakeholder Coordination & Issue ResolutionLiaise with the Project Quality Manager and Package Engineers on certification and compliance close‑out matters.Compliance Culture & Team EngagementDevelop and implement strategies to foster ownership and appreciation of regulatory compliance across the project.Job Requirements
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or other relevant discipline.6‑10 years of experience in managing and coordinating engineering and construction activities for large, multi‑disciplinary oil and gas projects.Successfully managed at least two major projects involving topsides fabrication and / or floater conversion , including at least one FPSO project .Extensive background in coordinating teams of professional engineers and technical support personnel.Hands‑on experience working with or for a Classification Society on Class verification activities and component certification.Demonstrated ability to manage third‑party service providers and deliver projects within schedule objectives.Strong familiarity with EPC / EPCI contract arrangements and multidisciplinary team coordination.Job Location
