Qualifications & Responsibilities

• SOC experience preferred. Holds or has previously held professional level certifications related to network security (examples : CEH, PCNSE, CCNP Security)
• Minimum 5 years in a network security engineer / security analyst role, gained in medium to large enterprise environments
• Minimum 2 years routing and switching experience, gained in medium to large enterprise environments
• Significant experience in security event monitoring / analysis / remediation
• Significant experience with management of firewalls / security appliances (examples : Cisco FirePower, Palo Alto, CheckPoint, enterprise web / email filters, AAA solutions)
• Significant experience with troubleshooting of IT security solutions as point of escalation, including log and packet analysis
• Experience with Microsoft Defender suite (Azure / 365)
• Experience with management and implementation of dynamic routing protocols (BGP / OSPF)
• Experience with acting as technical lead (security) in projects, including interaction with project teams and stakeholders
• Monitors and responds to IT security events / alerts
• Plans and carries out proactive maintenance on network security devices / firewalls etc.
• Carries out troubleshooting tasks based on fault tickets
• Carries out moves / adds / changes on IT security solutions
• Acts as technical escalation point for faults with IT security solutions
• Ensures that security design / configuration complies with industry best-practice, relevant regulatory requirements and internal policy
• Configures and deploys IT security solutions
