Senior Cost Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY ACTIVITIES

Cost Control and Reporting

• Prepare detailed cost reports and present findings to top management.
• Monitor Budget variances and recommend actions collaborating across departments.
• Implement cost control measures and track their effectiveness.
• Relate data in the factory to finance figures to provide actionable insights.
• Proactively identifying opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements in operations.
• Ensure correct stock valuation and asset management to maintain financial accuracy.

Financial Data Management

Collaboration and Communication

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES

Education :

Accounting / Finance graduates, preferably 2nd upper at least. Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA) is a plus.

Experience :

Knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices, ideally within a factory environment, is a plus.

Fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry experience is a plus.

Previous exposure to Excel and SAP is required.

Intermediate to Advance excel user

Experience which demonstrates critical evaluation / thinking - able to analyse, identify risks and opportunities, curious, finds solutions.

Competency :

Experience communicating effectively with cross-functional stakeholders (virtual and face to face, local and out of Malaysia) and is comfortable doing so, articulate.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.

Ability to think outside the box and develop innovative solutions to problems.
