Base pay range

Base pay range is to be discussed with the recruiter and will reflect your skills and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans based on the Montessori method, fostering independence and a love of learning in toddlers.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration, discovery, and social interaction.
  • Observe and document each child\'s individual progress, developmental milestones, and learning styles, using this information to personalize instruction.
  • Communicate regularly with parents, providing updates on their child\'s development, addressing concerns, and fostering a strong home-school partnership.
  • Guide and support toddlers in developing self-help skills, such as dressing, toileting, and eating independently.
  • Supervise and interact with toddlers during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive and supportive learning community.
  • Attend professional development workshops and training sessions to stay current on best practices in early childhood education and the Montessori method.

Qualifications

  • Possess a Diploma in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Demonstrate a minimum of 2 years of experience working with toddlers in an educational setting.
  • Exhibit a deep understanding of toddler development and age-appropriate learning activities.
  • Proficiency in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Proven ability to create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning and exploration.
  • Strong classroom management skills, including the ability to handle challenging behaviors with patience and consistency.
  • Demonstrated creativity in developing and implementing engaging and educational activities that cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Excellent observation skills to assess individual student needs and progress, and to adapt teaching methods accordingly.
  • Must be patient, compassionate, and possess a genuine love for working with young children.
  • Familiarity with the Montessori method is preferred but not required.
