Job description

JOB SUMMARY

To support insurance matters in management of Operational Insurance (Infrastructure, plant and machinery, D&O, etc.) in daily operation task such as claims, documentation, settlement process, monthly reporting and meeting. Execute annual policy renewal process and resolve outstanding third-party claims. Ensuring insurance covenants are met and no exclusions / violations done by the Company that would make any policy of insurance void and in ensuring claim ability on all outstanding policies. Provide advisory and liaison for regional / technical teams with insurance consultant.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide administrative support with the insurance functions to ensure effective and efficient deliveries of daily and monthly task;
  • Organize and establish data and statistics for General Insurance (monthly) reports;
  • Liaise with other departments, regions, insurance intermediaries / representatives and other related parties to ensure the settlement of the claim process or any others related to daily task;
  • Ensure that the claims are in order, to obtain approval(s) from the management;
  • Execute the policies renewal process;
  • Ensure timely update of the Air Selangor Insurance Database Record;
  • Assist in arranging monthly meetings with insurance companies, insurance intermediaries or any other related parties;
  • Liaison, advisory and investigation role with technical and regional team on third-party claims and infrastructure claims;
  • Provide supporting information for closure of insurance and third-party claims;
  • Prepare memorandum in relation to case closure, compensation offer, payment, etc.;
  • Handle legal and mediation matters with internal legal and / or external counsel for inbound and outbound third-party claims;
  • Prepare annual forecast and budget in relation to the Insurance sub unit;
  • Maintain tracking, filing and safekeeping of all Treasury and Insurance correspondences; and
  • Perform other duties as needed or required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree / professional degree or its equivalent
  • 5 years' experience in insurance related field
  • Insurance, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills in both English and Malay (verbal and written)
  • Independent, results-oriented and well-organized with strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
